As much as I love Chicago, sometimes it’s just good to get away. Usually that means in January and February, those miserable months where you don’t see the sun and it’s negative degrees out. As it is, I haven’t really taken many weekend trips in ‘09. And the few I have taken were all to places I’ve been before (although still fun). But this weekend, I’m headig to the Music City, Nashville, with some friends for some random Halloween fun. I have no idea what we’re going to do there, but I’m positive we can find something to do. After all those are the best trips, last minute and without plans.

I have this list of cities that I want to visit. Nashville happens to be way down the list, but you can’t turn down a very cheap flight to a new city. Tops on my list currently are Boston, Seattle, Portland, San Diego, and Minneapolis, in no particular order. I’ve been to NYC, but would love to go back. I recenty had a few good friends move to Brooklyn, so that gives me a great excuse. Maybe that will be my February getaway.
